Finca el Nevado is an Argentinian winery that produces wines reflecting the flavour of the noble land, the land that instilled in them a love for vineyards.
Finca el Nevado respect tradition in the care of the fruit, having grown up in the world of wine and knowing that what is essential takes time to reach its full potential.
The winery and vineyard are located by the Andes range, San Rafael, Mendoza Province. They can be found near an area of marsh on the north riverbank of Atuel River. At 34° 50° south latitude, east of San Rafael mountain range, at the foot of Cerro Negro hill.
The diverse properties of these lands give each of these estate wines a unique identity.
Finca el Nevado has 70 hectares of estate-owned vineyards, the soil is deep, permeable and poor in organic matter. These are key properties to produce great wine. Furthermore, the lands in the area are dry and arid, characterized by low levels of rainfall and moisture. This is important to keep the plant’s health throughout the year and the fruit at harvest time.
The growing area features sandy loam soil, which together with the weather characteristics of the region, promote proper ripening and aromas and colour richness. Here, in these lands, is where their vineyard’s charm begins.
The character of this terroir defines everything Finca el Nevado are. Furthermore, it integrates the variables that define a wine’s identity: soil, climate, tradition, history, and the sensitivity and energy of the people who work in the vineyards.
The Estate has been producing wines with an identity of their own for over 25 years in their state of the art winery. All of this, as well as a team of selected professionals and a committed workforce, allows Finca el Nevado to develop increasingly competitive products and achieve original, versatile, and noble flavours for all palates.
