Viticulture

Vineyard situated in the heart of Cima-Corgo, on the right bank of the river. Sun exposure to the west. Shale soils in transition to granite. Vineyards at an average altitude of 600m, planted in single varietal plots between 1991 and 1992.

Winemaking

It took place between the first and second weeks of September, the grapes were destemmed and vinified according to the traditional Port wine method. Fermentation, which transforms the grapes’ natural sugar into alcohol, takes place under controlled temperatures.

Selected from our best White Ports. In the spring following the harvest, the final blend is aged, partly in oak barrels and partly in stainless steel vats.

Tasting Note

With a beautiful straw white colour and intense aromas of floral and white fruit. The palate is soft and balanced. A rich wine with a complexity and nobility that comes from careful ageing.

Goes well with

As an aperitif. This wine pairs well with rich hors d’oeuvres. For a fresher and more flavoursome option, try it as a Port Tonic.

Cellaring

Piano Porto White is ready to drink and does not require decanting. Serve chilled between 8ºC and 10ºC. Once the bottle has been opened, it should be
consumed within 8 weeks.
