Founded in 1985 Carlos Alonso Douro Wine Company is an independent family-owned company based in the heart of the oldest demarcated wine region in the world.
The deep knowledge of the Douro region, the ability to cultivate and obtain the best grapes, as well as the respect for tradition, ethics and responsibility, together with the vision and the character of its founder, define this company that since its establishment has been able to innovate and adapt to the changing times.

Viticulture
Vineyards situated in the heart of Douro Valley, on the right bank of the river, from different sun exposures. Shale soils at an average altitude of 450m.
Winemaking
It took place between the first and second weeks of October, the grapes were destemmed and vinified according to the traditional Port wine method. Fermentation transforms the grapes’ natural sugar into alcohol, which takes place under controlled temperatures.
In the spring, the wines were selected for their profile and Vintage potential. The final blend was aged in French oak vats.
Tasting Note
Piano Port LBV has a youthful essence and an intense nose with fine, complex aromas of black and red fruit. Notes of cassis and discreet vegetal aromas create a fine, focused whole. The palate is dense and vigorous with delicious berry flavours and robust tannins that fill the mouth. A wine of imperial structure and body. An LBV with the profile of a classic Vintage.
Goes well with
Pair with strong cheeses. Delicious with chocolate or berry desserts.
Cellaring
Ready to drink. No decanting required. Ideally served at a temperature of 16ºC – 18ºC.
