In the heart of the Languedoc vineyards, Domaine La Provenquière perpetuates the wine-growing and family heritage of four generations of passionate winegrowers, as well as the historical heritage of a unique place steeped in nearly five centuries of history.
The Robert-Boularand family expresses all its winemaking know-how here through a wide range of white, red, rosé and orange IGP Pays d’Oc, AOC Languedoc, AOC Saint-Chinian and AOC Coteaux d’Ensérune varietal wines.
Iconic figures of the estate, Claude and his sister Brigitte have been co-managing the family estate since 1994. Marie, Jean and Antoine representing the fourth generation of the family are also committed daily to the heart of the estate. Claude, Brigitte, Jean, Antoine and Marie. Five passionate winegrowers who work every day to offer authentic and unique IGP Pays d’Oc and AOC Languedoc wines, vinified observing the winemaking tradition and the terroir.
The La Provenquière vineyard extends over 155 hectares in the heart of a triangle located on the first slopes of Languedoc, between Capestang, Maureilhan and Puisserguier.
The soil of its 155 hectares is one of the essential components of the estate’s heritage. Its preservation, while respecting the environment and maintaining biodiversity, is one of the main concerns of the family, representative of its commitment and the fundamental values it claims. With the idea of one day transmitting this exceptional terroir to future generations.
The vines are located on a clay-limestone hillside with a part on gravels.
Short skin contact maceration followed by low temperature fermentation then ageing on fine lees.
With precision and brilliance, the Robert-Boularand family reveals the pure expression of the fruit and the typicality of each grape variety in this historic range. The “Viognier” cuvée is an ample and generous wine with aromas of stone fruits, pear and acacia.
This wine has a beautiful radiant gold colour. The nose is charming, with fresh apricots, pear notes and slight vanilla notes. The palate is expressive and supple, with lot of freshness and flesh fruits notes.
