Domaine Preignes le Vieux, Les Hauts de Médian, Chardonnay Viognier, 2024, IGP Pays d’Oc, France

Producer Profile

Situated between Béziers and Agde, on the sunny terraces of the Languedoc vineyards, winemaker, Jérôme Vic, and wine expert, Aurélie Vic, welcome you to Domaine Preignes le Vieux, an exceptional location that, over the last five generations, has been carefully preserved by passionate men and women. Domaine Preignes le Vieux is more than just a vineyard, this outstanding site is steeped in fascinating family history!

In the heart of stunning Mediterranean landscapes, the site boasts a unique heritage with its own 13th century Chateau. A mix of tradition and innovation. The wine produced here is the result of an age-old culture and ancestral savoir-faire. In fact, Domaine Preignes le Vieux is located on Roman remains, a testimony to a winemaking tradition, dating back over 2000 years.

Since 1905, the Vic family have been running the vineyard and making wine with a great deal of passion and commitment. Alongside their team of 40 people, wine expert, Aurélie Vic and winemaker, Jérôme Vic are proud to keep this wonderful human adventure alive.

Wine, a wonderful unifier, attracts curious and passionate people,  Aurélie Vic is one of them.

A passionate oenologist and winemaker, Aurélie Vic discovers and shares the best wine trails in Languedoc. The region is vast, and its wines have multiple flavours and profiles. Should it be fresh and indulgent? Should it pair well with Mediterranean cuisine?

Yes of course, but Aurélie Vic wants more.

From the character of balance, finesse and harmony, let the wine express itself and give clues to its origins. In short, let the roots speak, let them connect us to the soil… let the “juice” exude the flavours of the south, a concentrate of fruit and garrigue aromas with crispness, finesse and drinkability of course.

Wines from the Languedoc carefully selected and structured with care and passion by Aurélie Vic. For several years, Aurélie has participated in the creation, blending and ageing of these unique wines. The Château collection brings us Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée wines that express the charms of the Corbières, Minervois and Malepère terroirs.

Viticulture

But what about this magnificent phenomenon that stretches across the slopes of the volcanic Roque Haute in the Languedoc?

An amazing site which offers picturesque strolls between the sea and Garrigue scrub. A charming vineyard where oaks and olive trees flourish. A land cultivated by a prestigious winemaker: Aurélie Vic, who successfully continues the wonderful adventure of five generations, devoted to their vineyards and wines. Her red, white and rosé wines reflect the bond between this woman and her terroirs.

Through Les Hauts de Médian, savour the elegance and fruity aromas of this range of ready-to-drink wines. A real insight into this gourmet creator’s imagination.
