Thomas Lindeborg visited Portugal in 1984 on a trip to São Martinho do Porto. It was on this journey he got captivated by the country and its people. Wine has always been a passion that pivoted as a push to invest in the Portuguese wine industry.
In 2019, Thomas Lindeborg acquired Quinta da Folgorosa and later in the same year, the organic winery Vale de Cortém, both in the Lisbon wine region. Quinta Vale do Armo in the Tejo region became part of the group in 2020, followed by Herdade da Cabeceira in Alentejo in 2021. The most recent acquisition, also in Lisbon is Adega Moor.
Lindeborg Wines invests in land, vineyards and local people determined to produce authentic quality wines using sustainable production methods and always taking nature into account.
Their core values are preserving the characteristics of the grape varieties and the different wine regions without pasteurisation and no added sugars.
Adega Moor, Lindeborg’s most recent acquisition, is a winery based in the Lisbon region of Portugal, known for producing varied and accessible wines, including red blends, white wines, and rosés, often featuring indigenous grape varieties. They are recognized for producing good value, everyday drinking wines, such as Planícies de Alqueva, which often showcase fruity notes with soft tannins.

Síria, Códega or Crato – the Roupeiro is a variety with many synonyms, resulting from the existence of this variety for a long time.
Considered to be the oldest white grape variety in Portugal, it is called Códega in the Douro, Síria in Dão and Bairrada, Roupeiro in the Alentejo and Crato in the Algarve region.
Roupeiro is the most planted white grape variety in the Alentejo and is the base of white wines.
Arinto is a versatile grape, grown in most of Portugal’s wine regions. It produces vibrant wines with lively acidity, refreshing and with a strong mineral character, with a high aging potential.
