– Where there is no wine, there is no love –
The Estate is divided into 4 plots which were planted out between 1983 and 2001. Their philosophy is to innovate, and their objective is to offer a quality product based on the excellence of their work.
The first commercial vintage was in 2004 with the production of wines from 3 grape varieties, Verdejo, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, with which they continue to produce excellent white, rosé and red wines.
The fruit for the Trascampanas is sourced from the oldest vines on the property. The grape harvest is at night and picked by hand.
Cold maceration for 48 hours to get freshness in the power of aromas reminiscent of blue flowers and black berries such as sloe. Followed by an alcoholic fermentation for 10 days with the skins at 25ªC which extracts complexity and fleshy tannins. Malolactic fermentation followed in barrel with a further 3-4 months aging in barrel.
Reminiscent of blue flowers and wild black berries such as the sloes. Quite a meaty tannic wine. Malolactic fermentation brings characters of yogurt, and black fruits in the nose.
Roast pork and crackling with all the trimmings.
Best for drinking in its youth to capture its full vibrancy.
